The infectious diseases team works with patients in hospital with complicated infections. They also run:
Outpatient Parenteral Antibiotic Treatment or OPAT for the continued administration of intravenous antibiotics on discharge from hospital. Outpatient clinics for the management of HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and other infections.
The Hawke’s Bay District Health Board Laboratory Service has facilities in Hastings, Napier, Central Hawke’s Bay and Wairoa.

Information about your Renal Clinic appointment with a Kidney SpecialistYou have been referred to the renal or kidney service to see one of the team. Your appointment may be with a Nephrologist (Kidney Specialist Doctor) or Nurse Practitioner (Kidney Specialist Nurse).
The Urology service at Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital focuses on surgery required for, and some medical diseases of adult and infant, male and female, urinary tract systems. We also treat some aspects of the male reproductive organs, but do not usually perform vasectomy.
Cardiovascular or heart disease is a growing concern in Hawke’s Bay. The cardiology service at Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital provides assessment, investigation, education and treatment for patients with cardiac or heart disease.
The Community Nursing Service provides a wide range of specialist nursing care in the community working together with other health professionals to support our patients to maintain their health and wellbeing through the provision of quality evidenced base nursing care.
Ostomy services are offered to people who have, or are expecting to require a stoma (a surgically created opening in the abdomen for evacuation of body waste).
Stomas include: colostomy, ileostomy and urostomy. Ostomy services provide people with information, advice and support before and after surgery.
Meals on Wheels are prepared in the Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital kitchen for delivery - fresh or frozen - to people living in Napier, Hastings or Havelock North. Hot or frozen meals and dessert are $7. 80.
