Yesterday, (19 December) Hawke’s Bay District Health Board Chair Kevin Atkinson and Chair of Health Hawke’s Bay (PHO) Bayden Barber signed a new agreement Te Pītau Health Alliance which signals a more holistic and integrated approach to health care in Hawke’s Bay.
The HBDHB sexual health service provides free sexual health services for people across the lifespan. Services are provided by specialist clinicians with advanced knowledge and education specific to sexual health.
The Community Nursing Service provides a wide range of specialist nursing care in the community working together with other health professionals to support our patients to maintain their health and wellbeing through the provision of quality evidenced base nursing care.
The Maternity Resource Centre at 234 Kennedy Rd is a one-stop shop for pregnancy and early parenting needs. It provides pregnancy tests, support to find a midwife, midwifery assessments and clinics, breastfeeding support and pregnancy and parenting information. The Emergency Department or ED is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Some of our patients are referred by local doctors, some by ambulance and some arrive in the department without a doctor referral as they believe they have an urgent health care problem.
