Ten cases Paratyphoid now confirmed
Ten cases of Paratyphoid Fever have now been confirmed by Hawke’s Bay District Health Board, and a number of other cases have been tested with results still pending. The district health board has also identified a link to another Tangi recently held in the bay.

Incomplete sterilisation of equipment
On Monday (11 February) Hawke’s Bay District Health Board became aware of an issue with a batch of sterilising equipment that was used in Hawke’s Bay Hospital operating theatres, sent to outpatient clinics and used by district nurses between 2 February and 11 February.

Continence services
Continence services support people who are incontinent. The service works with people to enable them to better manage incontinence, maintain their independence and quality of life, and to reduce health complications which can arise from incontinence.

Hawke’s Bay District Health Board offers a number of services for patients who are having treatment for both cancer and blood cancer related conditions.
Our cancer (oncology) services are subcontracted through Palmerston North's MidCentral District Health Board Cancer Centre. -
New loss of earnings compensation for live organ donors takes effect
