A total of five people are in Hawke’s Bay Hospital with campylobacter, two fewer than yesterday.
People are being warned not to swim in Pandora Pond, Napier, until further notice due to contamination. Hawke’s Bay’s District Health Board Medical Officer of Health, Dr Nicholas Jones, said monitoring by Hawke’s Bay Regional Council had identified high levels of bacteria in water from samples taken this week.
District nurses provide nursing care to patients who live within Hawke’s Bay. They offer assessment, clinical treatment, support and education for patients and their families.
A doctor or practice nurse or other health professional will refer you to district nursing.

Water from the Havelock North town water supply no longer needs to be boiled before drinking. The third clear water test in a row came back today, allowing the boil water notice to be lifted.
