Continence services support people who are incontinent. The service works with people to enable them to better manage incontinence, maintain their independence and quality of life, and to reduce health complications which can arise from incontinence.
Ostomy services are offered to people who have, or are expecting to require a stoma (a surgically created opening in the abdomen for evacuation of body waste).
Stomas include: colostomy, ileostomy and urostomy. Ostomy services provide people with information, advice and support before and after surgery.

The Maternity Resource Centre at 234 Kennedy Rd is a one-stop shop for pregnancy and early parenting needs. It provides pregnancy tests, support to find a midwife, midwifery assessments and clinics, breastfeeding support and pregnancy and parenting information. Hawke’s Bay District Health Board is investigating four confirmed cases of Paratyphoid Fever and is following up three suspect cases. All four confirmed cases have required hospital care at Hawke’s Bay Hospital. At least two of the cases ate mussels gathered from Napier’s Ahuriri area.
Hawke’s Bay Hospital is facing unprecedented demand on hospital services, especially acute surgeries, forcing it to cancel some elective surgeries over the coming days.
