Hawke’s Bay District Health Board (HBDHB) staff are widely promoting White Ribbon Day messaging this week in lead-up to tomorrow’s nationally recognised White Ribbon Day (25 November) which is aimed to end men’s violence towards women.

Hawke’s Bay District Health Board is investigating four confirmed cases of Paratyphoid Fever and is following up three suspect cases. All four confirmed cases have required hospital care at Hawke’s Bay Hospital. At least two of the cases ate mussels gathered from Napier’s Ahuriri area.
A swimming warning on Pandora Pond in Napier has been lifted this tonight following two water sample tests coming back clear.
Ten cases of Paratyphoid Fever have now been confirmed by Hawke’s Bay District Health Board, and a number of other cases have been tested with results still pending. The district health board has also identified a link to another Tangi recently held in the bay.

The HBDHB sexual health service provides free sexual health services for people across the lifespan. Services are provided by specialist clinicians with advanced knowledge and education specific to sexual health.
