What do we do?NASC (Need Assessment Service Coordination) Hawke's Bay is an assessment and service coordination agency that assists people with a disability, and their family/whānau, to maintain independence in their home and community, or a residential setting.
New Zealand Nurses Organisation (NZNO) members have rejected the revised pay offer from DHBs and given notice of industrial action. Nursing, midwifery and healthcare assistants covered by the NZNO Multi Employment Collective Agreement (MECA) have issued notice, to all district health boards, of a full withdrawal of labour.
The district health board is pleased to advise it has made contact with all, but one, of the people at risk from equipment that had not been completely sterilised and was used in Hawke’s Bay Hospital’s operating theatres and sent to outpatient clinics.

Hawke’s Bay District Health Board is reminding people to choose well for health care when junior doctors go on strike for 48 hours from 7am tomorrow and to leave the Emergency Department (ED) for people requiring emergency or life-threatening care.
Hawke’s Bay District Health Board is prepared for the third junior doctor strike, which will also coincide with a 12 hour midwifery strike, next week at Hawke’s Bay and Wairoa Hospitals.
