Getting here by car
If you’re visiting Hawke’s Bay Hospital, there are various ways you can get here, and some of them are free!
There are drop-off zones outside the hospital’s main entrance, Emergency Department entrance and Maternity entrance for labouring women.

From 1 March 2017, if you are parking at the hospital between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday, there is a small fee.
Paid Parking 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday
After 5pm, weekends and public holidays are free.
How to pay?
Patients and visitors payment options:
- Pay and Display machine. Pay at the machine and put the parking slip on dashboard $1 per 3.5 hours. Note: machine will accept coins (no change provided) or debit/credit chipped cards.
- ‘ParkMate App’. Download the universal app, register your vehicle and pay as you go $1 per 3.5 hours.
- Free drop-off zones outside the Emergency Department and for labouring women are provided.
